That's a wrap on 2025!

Thank you to everyone who participated or contributed in some way to the San Diego Madres in 2025. Every year is a good one when we can come together to celebrate the Padres, contribute to kids playing ball, and have fun along the way.

Here are some of the year's highlights for the Madres:

• We distributed almost $18,000 in checks to youth baseball and softball leagues across San Diego County.

• In August, we presented longtime Padres broadcaster Ted Leitner with our inaugural Madres Appreciation Award. Uncle Teddy was both surprised and delighted with this recognition!

• We brought in a variety of guests from local media to speak at our brunches. Many thanks to John Kentera, Marie Coronel, Allison Edmonds, Bernie Wilson, and Ted Leitner.

• In June, we rented a bus and took a tour of some of the amazing Padre player murals across the county. We couldn't get to them all, so we've continued offering small-group tours!

• Other events in 2025 included our mostly-annual bus trip to see the Lake Elsinore Storm, family fun bbq at Santee Lakes, a Bunco party, wine tasting, Bingo, a rummage sale at Clairemont High School, dining-for-dollars at local restaurants, and our longstanding brunches at Elijah's Restaurant.

• Along the way, various Madres members volunteered their time at Padres and community events including the Padres FanFest garage sale, Armed Services YMCA holiday toy drive, and South Bay LL Challenger Jamboree.
