MADRES CALENDAR 2010 LUNCHEON DATES April 17 Batter Up Opening week at Petco. Wear your favorite Padres baseball gear, jersey, cap, etc. to our “home opener week-end” brunch. May 15 Madres Salute the Military Wear your red, white, blue + camouflage colors. Show your patriotic pride as we honor our Military heroes. June 19 Proud of our Flag Wear your favorite hat, glasses + flag display. Flaunt your freedom proudly as we celebrate Flag Day. July 31 Baseball is Summer Fun Dress up and show off your Padres baseball spirit, caps, shirts, tank tops, fanatic attire and even “shades.” September 18 Aloha September! Get out your Hawaiian dress, hula skirts, leis + plumerias as we celebrate Aloha August. October 9 Keep the Faith! Time to wear your favorite Friar gear and retro Padres baseball clothing as we support and Keep the Faith of our SD Padres. Nov TBA   The September 4th brunch is rescheduled to  September 18th:  details below The September 25th brunch is tentatively rescheduled to October 9th:  details in next newsletter   Due to our Padres' super season, FOX TV is televising the remaining Padres Saturday home games at 1:10 pm.  Therefore, our September brunches have to be rescheduled. The Sept. 4th brunch is changed to Sept. 18th.  The theme will still be "Aloha August." So, please wear your favorite Hawaiian attire. One of our favorite guest speakers, Jane Mitchell of 4SD will give us the inside scoop on her One on One guests for this season and a sneak preview of her newly published book, One on One:  My Journey with Hall of Famers, Fan Favorites, and Rising Stars.  Note, you can pre-order the book at the brunch.  Jane is donating 35% of the $25 cost to the Madres for every book ordered at the brunch.  Refer to the August newsletter for more details. As usual the brunch will be held at the Hall of Champions.  The menu is eggs Benedict, southwest potatoes, bacon, yogurt, fruit, assorted Danish, and drinks.  Doors open at 9:00 am.  Food service begins at 9:45 am.
